NPFL Transfer: Victor Collins rejoins Nasarawa United

By Emmanuel Chinedu

Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Nasarawa United has re-signed former defender Victor Collins on a loan deal from fellow NPFL team, Remo Stars until the end of 2024/25 season.

The deal which also includes an option of a permanent move at the end of the season will see the left-footed centre back to Laifa ahead of the 2024/25 NPFL season.

Victor joined the Ikenne based-club during the summer of 2022/2023 after his successful individual season with the Solid miners. He then had a difficult campaign in the Daniel Ogunmodede team due to injuries at the end of 2023/24 season.

The defender was part of the Remo Stars’ team that took part in the just concluded Coal City Int’l Cup that was hosted in Enugu last week and which was won by Shooting Stars beating Remo Stars on penalties in the final game.

With this latest move to Nasarawa, it will bring a new fresh of life for the Enugu-born defender to get back with a smile on his face for the game he truly loves.

He is expected to add qualities in the Nasarawa United’s  defensive-line  under head coach Usman Adams, as they continues its readiness ahead of the new football campaign.
