Osimhen hits a brace against Kasimpasa

Victor Osimhen opened his goals account for Galatasaray on Saturday with the 3-3 thriller with Kasımpasa in the Turkish league.

The Super Eagles forward scored the opener and his first in the 20th minute. The Nigerian in his trade mark style latched on a perfect cross from Abdulkerim Bardakci and to head it past Andreas Gianniotis.

And then eight minutes later, Osimhen scored again, with a powerful shot home from Gabriel Sara’s brilliant pass.

The statisticians from OPTA states that the Nigerian became the first Galatasaray player to register four or more goal contributions in his first three games in the Super Lig since Bafetimbi Gomis achieved that in 2017.

Osimhen who is on loan from Napoli has scored two goals and registered three assists for Galatasaray so far.

Mauro Icardi scored third for Gala with a brilliant volley to put the ball beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.

Kasımpasa players refused to take no for an answer and thus pulled one back just before half-time through Mamadou Fall. Haris Hajradinovic scored for them in the 83rd minute, before Nuno Da Costa completed the comeback in added time.

Osimhen signaled that he was injured and called for a substitution and was replaced by Dries Mertens at the beginning of the second half.
