It is definitely going to be a rewarding match for spectators as the Nigeria Customs ladies take on MFM warriors in the final match of the Zenith Bank Women’s League Final-8 playoff. The match is billed for the National Stadium, Lagos.

We can boldly say it would be worth the trouble of following the match live because of the quality of games these two teams have played in the one week competition. The semi final match that gave the Customs a 57-51 victory over First Bank on Monday was more than a thriller. MFM had defeated rookies Royal Aces 72-53 in the first semi final match. In the Tuesday final game top notch performance is expected from the former national champions, Customs and defending champions, MFM.

The Customs coach Abdulrahman Mohammed says they prepared for the playoffs with the games of the Savannah Conference.

“We were winning in the Savannah Conference but I kept reminding them that the Atlantic Conference has a better balance of top teams which meant that the Final-8 was going to be a real fight. For every game we have played here we have entered it like a final match because of the level of the oppositions.”

Before the final match, former perennial national champions, First Bank will face Royal Aces in the third place match which will take the tip off at 2pm. The final match and ceremonies will start from 4pm.
