Napoli’s Sporting Director Giovanni Manna is not keen on a transfer deal with Galatasaray for Victor Osimhen. Manna has shut the door on the proposed transfer as he does not believe the Turkish side has the funds to prosecute the deal smoothly.
The Nigerian striker entered into a season-long loan deal to Galatasaray just before the deadline for the last summer transfer window. As of the weekend, Osimhen had scored eight goals and four assists in nine appearances for the Turkish side this season.
Galatasaray owners are looking to make the deal permanent just as close rivals Fenerbahce with Jose Mourihno in charge are also pushing for his signature.
Napoli is demanding a €75m but both sides have not gone above €50m.
Webaslan reports that in response, Napoli’s Sporting Director Manna announced a closure of negotiations with Galatasaray due to their lack of funds to process the deal.
“Our door is closed to negotiations. Galatasaray does not have the budget to pay this amount at this moment. The fee is €75 million; there are many teams that want Osimhen. They are ready to pay this amount,” Manna said.
