The 4th edition of the Victor Ikpeba 5-A-Side Challenge came to a thrilling end with Lord Mark FC claiming the top spot. They defeated Home FC 4-3 in the final match. Mighty Wonderers secured the bronze medal, edging out Kollins Football Academy with a 3-2 victory.
Individual awards were also presented, with Ewoma Vincent of Kollins FA taking home the Golden Shoe trophy as the highest scorer with an impressive 12 goals. Couple Bekeakpo of Mighty Wonderers received the Most Valuable Player award, while Emmanuel Ogona of Lord Mark was honored with the Golden Glove award as the best goalkeeper.
Retired Nigerian Super Eagles midfielder and former Delta State Football Association chairman, Edema Fuludu, praised Victor Ikpeba’s dedication to promoting youth football.
“It’s been fantastic outing all through. Congratulations to POM Victor Ikpeba (MON) for his exemplary attitude in promoting the young ones for the love of the game.”
The event was attended by notable figures, including the current DFA Chairman, Godwin Adode (Coach Tete), Warri Wolves Chairman, Neville Ambekederemo, Victor Ezeji and some other ex-Nigeria internationals.
Victor Ikpeba expressed his gratitude to the local organizing committee, comprising Marvel Dick, Ogo Clarkson, Coach Kingsley, and Mike Ogborodi. He also thanked Chief Kunle Soname and the Bet9ja Foundation for their support. Ikpeba is optimistic that the next edition will be an even greater success.
