Enyimba forward, Awazie Ekene, has praised the team efforts in their 2-1 victory over Nasarawa United, on Wednesday, at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.
The clash was a rescheduled Matchday 17 encounter, of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The forward, who featured in the game, for the nine-time NPFL Champions, revealed that the team showed a lot of character and determination to get back to winning ways and end their seven games winless run in the league.

“The team showed a lot of character because Nasawara United really made it difficult for us, but the three points is all that matters, and I’m glad that we were able to achieve it.”
The victory ended Enyimba’s seven-game winless streak and boosted their position in the league.
Awazie highlighted the team’s determination and resilience in overcoming a tough opponent. He also praised the contributions of key players like Brown Ideye, who scored the winning goal which secured the maximum points for the Stanley Eguma’s led side.
