Abia Comets’ Cyril, sure of points against Ijele FC this weekend

Abia Comets FC midfielder, Cyril Shedrack, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure a positive result away in an Oriental Derby against Ijele FC, in their Southern Conference A Matchday 5 clash.

The game is scheduled for Saturday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu. Cyril, an exciting young midfielder was named as the Man-of-the-Match, in the goalless draw with Warri Wolves, last Sunday. He produced such a brilliant individual performance in the game.

He spoke to Extrasportsnigeria.com  shortly after Thursday’s training session, Cyril shared his thoughts on the upcoming match.

“We’re ready to give it our all against Ijele FC to secure a positive result,” Cyril said.

“We’ve been training diligently, and the team spirit is high. We respect our opponents, but we are confident in our abilities.

“We’re aiming for nothing less than a positive result in Enugu on Saturday, and I believe we’ll put up a good performance to achieve the needed result.”

A positive result in Enugu will be an amazing feat on the road for the Comets and will extend their unbeaten run to five games. It would sustain their spot in the Southern Conference A standings at the end of this weekend.
