The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has released the final 12-man roster for the third window of the FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers, set to take place in Tripoli, Libya, from February 21 to 23. The list was made public on Monday night just as the team members based in Nigeria prepared to board the flight to Tripoli.
The coaches and staff, along with the players, will be departing from their respective locations on February 17, and are expected to arrive in Tripoli between last night and Tuesday. The team will hold its first practice session in the evening of February 18, as they finalize preparations for the games ahead.
Nigeria enters this phase of the qualifiers with loss deficit but with focus, aiming to secure a strong position on the road to AfroBasket 2025. The NBBF has said that “the team is poised to showcase the resilience, skill, and competitive spirit that have defined Nigerian basketball over the years.”
The NBBF called on all Nigerians and basketball fans worldwide to rally behind the team as they take on the challenge in Libya.
