Abia Warriors Top scorer and forward, Sunday Megwo is hopeful of getting the maximum points when they face their Oriental rivals, Rangers International, on Wednesday, in a midweek NPFL Matchday 25 encounter.

The clash which will take place, at the Umuahia Township Stadium, will see the Imama Amapakabo’s led side pushing to bounce back from their 1-0 away defeat to Kano Pillars last weekend.

While speaking with Extrasportsnigeriacom.wordpress.com shortly after the team training session on Tuesday morning, Megwo said that the team was focused and determined in getting the maximum points.

“Yes, We’re all focused and determine to get the maximum points, because we need to take the game like if it is a cup final on Wednesday, it is a must win game for us,” Megwo said.

“However, when you look closer in the league table, you’ll understand that the points gap is not much difference, because five teams behind us have 35 points, while we have 36 points, so that is the main reason we need to win and to stay close to the top three teams in the log.”

The Umuahia-born forward, further said that it will be a tough game against a team like Rangers but says he is confident that they will get the three points on Wednesday.

“Of course, Rangers Int’l are a strong team, they’re also the defending champions, and you saw how they performed against a side like Remo Stars last Sunday, so we will give them their respect, however it is going to be a difficult game, but I believe we will take the three points at the end of the game come Wednesday,” he said.

The Super Eagles B forward will be hoping to bounce back to his impressive scoring form against the Flying Antelopes on Wednesday, as Warriors hopes to bounce back to winning ways.
