BAL: Rivers Hoopers’ roster grows as Peter Olisemeka returns

The Nigeria Premier Basketball League champions, the Rivers Hoopers, are steadily building up their roster as the jump ball for the 2025 Basketball Africa League gets closer. They have re-signed Peter Olisemeka for Season Five of BAL.

Olisemeka rejoins the Port Harcourt club after helping the team finish third in last season’s BAL and winning the Nigerian league title.

The 6 foot 9 centre averaged 10 PPG, 11.7 RPG, 2 APG, 1.4 BLKPG in 9 games played for the KingsMen at the 2024 BAL.

Olisemeka also recorded three double-doubles against US Monastir, AS Douanes and APR in the Sahara Conference.

The centre joins Kelvin Amayo to put pen to paper ahead of the 2025 BAL season which dunks off in April.

The Nigerian champions will start off their campaign with the first stage of the playoffs which will be held in Morocco.
