GTI confirms start of radio live broadcast of matches

The return of live radio broadcasts of the Nigerian league matches will start on Sunday. The GTI Group confirmed this via a press release on Friday. It stated that the broadcast will commence with the match between Nasarawa United and Akwa United, Extrasportnigeria.wordpress.com reports.

The statement signed by Andrew Ekejiuba, The GTI Head of Media and Publicity reads, “The GTI Group, strategic partners to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated MatchDay 32 clash between Nasarawa United and Akwa United will be broadcast live on the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Network Service.

“Don’t miss the excitement! Tune in to the Network Service of Radio Nigeria as we bring back the thrill of live football commentaries on radio.”

The match comes up this Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 4pm at the Lafia Township Stadium, Lafia.

The game will be a huge test for Akwa United who have been on steady ride out of the relegation depth for the past one month.
