Ideye scores again as Enyimba beat Kano Pillars

Enyimba found their game again today, beating Kano Pillars 2-1 in Aba in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Extrasportnigeria.wordpress.com reports.

The former African champions went up with two goals though Joseph Atule and ex-Super Eagles striker, Brown Ideye before Pillars pulled a goal back with a hit from Naibe Akpesiri in the 81st minute.

Saturday became a day of recovery for Enyimba, aftermaking headlines midweek when they were beaten 2-0 by an NNL side Abakaliki FC in the Federation Cup quarterfinal.

In Katsina, top runners Abia Warriors were well beaten by hosts Katsina United 5-1 with Bello Lukman hitting a brace. The Warriors, however, remain third in the league table with 53 points.

It is all gone for relegated Lobi Stars with another fall. They were beaten 4-2 by their guests and defending champions Rangers.

On Sunday, Shooting Stars will host table topper Remo Stars in a clash that is the star game of the day and fireworks South-west derby. El-Kanemi will host arguably the team of the season Ikorodu City.
