Since the initial newsbreak, more damning revelations have been made in the case a now former employee of the Access Bank, Stephen Ifeanyichukwu Ejezie, by the Police after being found culpable of a serious crime.
It has been learned that Ejezie, a quality assurance specialist at the bank’s contact centre in the Oniru area of Lagos, secretly recorded over 400 video clips of his female colleagues while in the office with his phone.
Ejezie was reportedly caught in the ladies restroom around 1.30am on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, an earlier report by FIJ revealed.
Access Bank is yet to officially comment on the issue. A request for clarification sent to its e-mail had also not been acknowledged as of press time.
Access Bank, embarrassed by Ejezie action, earlier ordered his arrest later on Wednesday and a search by the police on his devices produced more video clips of male and female colleagues taking baths or naked in the restroom. These were found on his laptop and flash drives.
“The police raided his house the following day, Thursday, April 24, and more than 400 different videos were found on his laptop and flash drives,” a report by FIJ quoted one of his colleagues to have said.
A more disturbing allegation by some of Ejezie’s colleagues is that he already sold some of the videos online to Americans, Europeans and Indians.
“He has an Onlyfans account he created to sell people’s nudes and videos taken unawares. They also found some he’s been selling on Telegram,” FIJ quoted one of the victims to have said.
Traumatised by the turn of event, a female victim of Ejezie’s act, who expressed the belief that the accused had sold about 400 videos to clients, retorted, “What happens to us if the videos he has already sold circulate online?”
Further checks revealed that Ejezie has been released by the Police.
His colleagues who confirmed this development maintained that the bank’s management may have become lenient in the case to protect the brand’s reputation, and this has become a dilemma for the victims who are now subtly warned not to talk to press about the incident.
“It is true that they called us to a Friday morning meeting to subtly address the matter, but this has not been able to pacify many of us who fear our nudes videos may be leaked online,” another staff said.
“No one really has the nerve to challenge anything. We are just contract staff and not really rated. Any little thing and you get tossed in the trash.
“Many are traumatised already, and there is no support offered by the organisation,” the FIJ report quoted one of them to have said.
Staffers at the customer service hub of Access Bank work in shifts. So, some have to sleep at the office, clean up and take their bath there.
Ejezie reportedly snuck into the ladies’ restroom. He wanted to hide his camera as usual, so he noticed ladies coming and hid in one of the toilets beside the bathroom.
“Mind you, the men’s restroom is not too close for him to have mistakenly entered the one for women. He was found when a lady taking her bath noticed a phone recording her from the toilet cubicle, which is directly by the side of the bathroom. She noticed someone closed the water closet seat and was making a video. She just saw the camera by chance.
“After the lady raised the alarm and more people asked whoever was there to open the door, he eventually did.
“That was when people saw it was Stephen. He said he didn’t know how he got to the ladies’ toilet but couldn’t explain the part of him making videos.”
