The prestigious Africa Youth Scrabble Championship Trophy has arrived in Lome, Togo’s capital city. The Pan African Scrabble Association (PANASA) delegation, led by President Adekoyejo Adegbesan and the President of TESPA, Sam Afangninou presented the trophy at the American Corner, University of Lome on June 3rd.
The presentation ceremony was attended by key stakeholders, including members of the American Embassy, clubs, players, and the press.
The Togo English Scrabble Players Association (TESPA) unveiled its 4-man team for the Africa Youth Scrabble Championship, scheduled for Nairobi from August 14 to 17, 2025.
The PANASA delegation also provided technical training to the TESPA team and players during the PM session. The team will visit the Kpele region on June 4th to meet with local clubs and share technical knowledge before departing for Lagos on June 5th, ahead of the continuation of the tour.
The trophy is scheduled to arrive in Monrovia, Liberia, on June 6th, 2025.
