Kwara United arrive in Lagos for President Federation Cup final

Kwara United Football Club members have arrived in Lagos ahead of the much-anticipated President Federation Cup final against Abakaliki FC. The match is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena.

The team’s early arrival is said to be a fulfillment of the promise made by the club chairman, Mr. Kumbi Titiloye, during the club’s Sallah homage earlier this month. At the occasion, he assured the Kwara United fans that the team would hit Lagos a week before the final “to ensure maximum concentration and thorough preparation.”

The players, in high spirits, expressed confidence and readiness to give their all as they make their first-ever appearance in the final of Nigeria’s oldest football competition.

With a place in the CAF Confederation Cup also at stake, the Harmony Boys are determined to make history and bring glory to Kwara State.

Their opponents, Abakaliki FC got to the final game with a bang beating Premier League teams including former African champions Enyimba.
