Prestina Ochonogor wins her 2nd national title in long jump

Reigning African U20 champion, Prestina Ochonogor, has added another win to her collection, claiming victory in the women’s long jump final at the AFN National Athletics Championships that ended at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos.

She soared to a winning mark of 6.52m, securing her second national title in a row.

Jarret Glory claimed the silver medal with a leap of 6.00m, while Akinsanya Ismaila Ajoke took home the bronze, jumping 5.88m.

Prestina made the headlines last month when she won the gold at the African U18/U20 Athletics Championships that held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, in South West Nigeria.

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria organized the national meet in Lagos through the weekend, to confirm the athletes that will represent the country in the World Athletics Championship set for Tokyo,
