The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has announced a foremost sports marketing industry personality, Mike Itemuagbor as a Special Advisor to the board in the quest to strengthen the financial base of the league.
Itemuagbor, the founder of Padmozi Sports Marketing (PSM), was tapped by personal friend, the NPFL Chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye to bring his vast experience and network in corporate Nigeria to reposition the league to attract sponsorships.
In announcing the development, Elegbeleye said, “the best part of this is that this great marketing mind is going to render his services free of any personal financial reward, it’s pro bono.”
Itemuagbor’s pedigree in sports marketing spans over three decades of working with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), before founding the famous Okpekpe Road Race that has attracted some of the world’s best long distance runners.
