Moses Simon scores first goal in Paris FC loss

Super Eagles attacker, Moses Simon scored his first goal for his new team Paris FC but it ended up a 5-2 beating from Olympique Marseille.

It was the second loss of the season in as many games for Paris.

Mason Greenwood converted from the penalty spot in the 20th minute to gain the lead for Marseille. And six minutes later they were up by 2-0. This time, it was Greenwood who gave the assist. He sent a cross into the box from a corner kick situation. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was lurking in the box, got to it and poked the ball into the net.

However, Marseille’s advantage did not last long, as Ilan Kebbal pulled one back for Paris in the 28th minute.

Moses Simon had an opportunity to level the scores in the 37th minute after dribbling past two Marseille players in the final third. Unfortunately for him, his effort was saved.

The teams went for the half time break with the score at 2-1.

The Paris players started the second half strongly with an inspirational Simon even getting an opportunity to score in 54th minute, but missed.

Barely three minutes after that, he redeemed himself. The Super Eagles star received a brilliant through pass from Kebbal and deftly sent a low shot past the goalkeeper to make it 2-2.

Simon was, however, substituted from the game in the 64th minute and was replaced by Jean-Philippe Krasso.

Paris FC, they fell apart in the closing quarter of the game. Goals from Aubameyang, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Robinio Vaz ensured that the game ended 5-2 in favour of Marseille.
