The Guinness World Records (GWR) has officially recognised Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci for preparing and serving the largest pot of jollof rice.
Guinness World Records announced the approval on Monday via their official X (Twitter) account. The brief statement reads, “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”
The record-setting job tagged ‘Gino World Jollof Festival’ was held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos with thousands of guests witnessing the most spectacular cooking and serving ever done in this part of the globe.
This is the Nigerian lady’s second big hit with GWR following the 2023 record she set for the longest cooking marathon.
