Bendel Insurance appoints Boboye as Technical Adviser

‎The management of Bendel Insurance Football Club has approved the appointment of former Akwa United head coach, Kennedy Boboye as the Technical Adviser of the team.

‎The appointment is said to have followed a mutual agreement between the management of the Benin City-based team and Boboye for him to assume full responsibility for the club’s technical department with immediate effect.

“After a thorough evaluation, the management found Coach Boboye suitable for the role and has offered him a substantive two-year contract. The decision is based on his proven track record, impressive credentials, and extensive experience in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL),” it was announced on Monday.

‎The club management is optimistic that Boboye’s appointment will usher in a new phase of improved performance and renewed confidence in the ongoing 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Boboye, has had a managerial successful career in the league, as he is the first coach in the history of the NPFL to win the title with two different teams (Plateau United 2017) and (Akwa United 2021). Also he has previously coached the likes of Sunshine Stars, Heartland FC and also again Akwa United during the 2024/26 NPFL season.
