‎Boboye resumes as Bendel Insurance Technical Manager

‎The newly appointed Technical Manager of Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin, Coach Kennedy Boboye, has begun work with the club, taking charge of the morning training session.

‎The two-time league champion with Plateau United and Akwa Utd superintended over the Benin Arsenals team for the first time at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Wednesday and subsequently moved the players to close camp.

‎While addressing the players and officials of the Benin Arsenals, Coach Boboye admonished them to put the interest of the club and Edo State Government above selves, noting that discipline and patriotism is the best remedy for the team considering the present situation.

‎He said, “We must all be alive to our responsibilities and imbibe the culture of mutual respect to awaken team spirit and winning mentality. We must work hard to be able to come out of the situation we find ourselves.

‎”I am engaged by the management of this great club to manage and take the club out of the bad situation and I can’t do it alone. I need the co-operation of everybody – coaches and other staff to succeed.”

‎Boboye urged them to be positive minded and work towards winning their next game which is against Rivers United in Benin next week

‎He expressed appreciation for the warm reception the staff and management accorded him as he joined the team. Boboye promised to carry everybody in the team along as he begins work with them.

‎The former Heartland FC and Sunshine Stars coach was unveiled as the new technical manager of Bendel Insurance on Tuesday following his appointment on Monday. Boboye will be handling his first match in charge against Rivers United by next week.

‎The management of Bendel Insurance announced the suspension of their former head coach Greg Ikhenoba last week following the poor performance of the club in the current season after losing their last home match 1-0  to Nasarawa United in the Matchday Seven fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium.
