Victor Osimhen scored twice and provided an assist as his Turkish side, Galatasaray, recorded their second successive Champions League win with a 3-1 victory over Bodo/Glimt.
The Nigerian was superb scoring two first-half goals. In the second half he set up Yunus Akgun to seal a back-to-back win in the competition for the first time since December 2012. He was also named the Man-of-the Match in a back-to-back fashion.
Andreas Helmersen came off the bench to hit a late consolation for the Norwegian champions, who have yet to claim a victory in the league phase.
Osimhen scored his second goal of the night—and fifth of the season—shortly after the half-hour mark, capitalizing on a catastrophic back pass from Fredrik Bjorkan and rounding visiting goalkeeper Nikita Haikin to send the ball into an empty net. He would later miss two excellent opportunities to deliver a second hat trick in eight days after achieving the feat for his country against Republic of Benin on 14 October in Uyo, Nigeria.
