EKAO Player Management, a leading West African sports management organization dedicated to elevating grassroots football talent to global stages, has announced a partnership with the Coordinator of Ikwuano, Umuahia Clans Youth Leaders to sponsor a native of Umuahia for high-performance football trials in Spain.
Founded in 2025 and currently operating across Nigeria, Spain, and Germany, EKAO specializes in talent identification, career development, contract negotiation, athlete branding, and post-career planning—providing holistic support for aspiring and established athletes.
During a strategic meeting in Umuahia, the Managing Director and CEO of EKAO, Mr. Kenneth Ogbuehi, FIFA Agent, together with Chief Chiedozie Martins Nwosu, National President of the Ibeku Youth Association and Coordinator of the Ikwuano, Umuahia Champions League Tournament, engaged key Abia State officials on strengthening sports development in the region. Discussions focused on long-term athlete development, improved training infrastructure, enhanced welfare programs, and sustainable partnerships to empower young footballers across the state.
Analysts say that the impact of this collaboration is already evident, as Wisdom Okechukwu, a young and promising footballer from Nsukwe Ubakala, Umuahia South, is currently in Spain undergoing trials with multiple clubs in pursuit of a professional football career, a process coordinated by Mr. Kenneth Ogbuehi.
EKAO Player Management reaffirmed its commitment to supporting local talents and expanding pathways for young athletes to reach international platforms.
