Renewed Hope Basketball Tournament: Hoops &Read face Cantonment Braves in final

After five days of intense and highly competitive basketball contests involving 18 teams two have emerged to battle for the top prize money. The teams are representing the political wards of the Ikeja Federal Constituency in the Renewed Hope Basketball Tournament ongoing at the Police College, Ikeja Basketball Court.

The tournament which is the first edition is sponsored by Olawale Fadare, Personal Assistant on General Duties to President Bola Tinubu, and ably supported by Young Professionals For Tinubu (YP4T).

In the grand finale slated for Saturday at the same venue, Hoops and Read that defeated Ebun Comets 35-28, will face Cantonment Braves who overran Bobcats 47-28, to set up a mouth-watering encounter.

The day that promises lots of fun, frills, glitz and music, would begin with the third-place game between Ebun Comets and Bobcats.

Speaking on what to expect during the grand finale, tournament’s coordinator, Kenneth Agba, said that he is working around the clock with other members of the organising team to ensure top range organisation, fun-filled and exciting basketball event.
