Joseph ‘The Reporter’ Okere made his intention clear as he clawed his way to the top on the Opening Day of the Scrabble in the Jungle tournament, picking 8 wins from 10 rounds.

The top-ranked jammer locked his place at the top with a +353 cumulative points ahead of five other contenders in the Legacy Keepers’ edition of the annual showpiece.

His performance was, however, being monitored by Ahmed Bayo as he finished with 7 wins and cumulative points of +286 to keep a close distance between the two.

Khaleel “Dynamite” Adedeji stayed third with 6 wins with +220 cumulative points as he continues searching for the right time to detonate his arsenal in the tough mind game.

Atti Daystar “The White Dragon” remained average with 5 victories across 10 battles on the board, but remained resolute as he occupied the 4th position.

Coming from the rear are Godsfavour “The Rock” Whiskey and Salau Samso, who recorded 3 wins and a solo victory respectively in the 6-man championship.

Their engaging performances have drawn a lot of interest across the globe as fans followed every move and strategy through dedicated WhatsApp channels.

The 3-day tournament, now in its fourth season, established by Scrabble Las Vegas rolls into Day 2 with 15 rounds of games on offer.
