The Victor Ikpeba 5-A-Side Football Challenge, in partnership with Bet9ja, has reached its crescendo, igniting excitement across Delta State’s football community as the much-anticipated grand finale draws near.
All eyes will be on Saturday, December 20th, as Hon. Onos Oborevwori, Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, is expected to grace the occasion alongside a host of distinguished guests and key stakeholders in Nigerian football.
The stakes could not be higher. Pipeline Dragons FC, one of the derby teams and the standout team of the tournament, will lock horns with defending champions Successful Pillars FA (2023 Champions) in what promises to be a fiercely contested final match.
Earlier in the day, football lovers will also be treated to a thrilling third-place playoff as Grace FC battles Aligned FC, a clash expected to showcase flair, grit, and tactical brilliance.
The closing ceremony is set to be a memorable celebration of grassroots football, with notable dignitaries in attendance, including Hon. Godwin Adode, Chairman of the Delta State Football Association; Major Mohammed Salman, Commanding Officer, CO of the 3rd Battalion, Effurun Barracks, Edema Fuludu (former Super Eagles star and ex-Delta State FA Chairman), Prince Godstime Emiko (Chairman of Sporting FC) Mr.Pius Ayinor (former Editor of the Punch Newspaper Sports Desk) alongside respected football agents and administrators such as Paul Ojo, Joseph Eyimofe, and Paul Alofa, among many others.
With an electric atmosphere, elite competition, and passionate supporters expected in full force, the big question remains: who will lift the coveted Victor Ikpeba 5-Aside trophy?
