The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Super Eagles will play two high-profile international friendlies in June 2026, ahead of the World Cup against European teams Poland and Portugal.

The first match is scheduled against Poland on Tuesday, June 3, 2026, at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw.

Four days later, on June 10, the Super Eagles will face Portugal in Portugal. The exact venue for this match is yet to be announced.

These fixtures were arranged by the NFF’s FIFA Match Agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport, an NFF official confirmed.

The Federation is picking up available games for the Super Eagles, who failed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, during the FIFA international window.

The matches are viewed as crucial preparations for future tournaments, including the next AFCON competition in 2027 and 2028 and the road to the 2030 World Cup.

Nigeria played against Iran and Jordan last week. The Eagles defeated Iran 2-1 and then settled for a 2-2 draw with Jordan four days after.
