Barau FC captain, Usman Maidubji, says his team is delighted to halt Rangers International after both sides shared the spoils in a keenly contested Matchday 33 Nigeria Premier Football League encounter.

The Maliya Boys displayed a quality performance at the Cathedral in Enugu on Sunday to secure a vital point in the 2025/26 NPFL season, now in the final bend.

Speaking after the game, the skipper attributed the result to hard work, dedication, and commitment from both the players, the technical crew, and the management.

While describing the opponents as a difficult side, Maidubji explained that they played to the coach’s instructions and gave their best in the field of play.

He appreciated the teeming fans and supporters of Barau who trooped out in their numbers to support the team, assuring them that they would not disappoint them in the final round of matches.

He said, “I am delighted that we got a point against Rangers. We knew it wouldn’t be an easy game considering their position on the table. We gave everything from the start of the game till the full-time whistle.

“We played to the instructions of the coaches, knowing fully well that they are a good side that can hurt any opponents. Kudos must be given to our fans in Enugu who stood behind us, and we assure them that we will not disappoint.”

Barau FC are 10th on the log after 33 matches with 43 points and will host Remo Stars in Matchday 34 at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
