Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen hit a notable milestone in Galatasaray’s 3-0 victory over Fenerbahçe during an Intercontinental Derby clash at Rams Park on Sunday evening.

The game was Osimhen’s first start since recovering from an injury that sidelined him for five weeks, and the Nigeria international scored the first goal of the match just five minutes before halftime.

He brought the ball under control with his chest and finished with his knee. He tried for a second goal, but the effort was ruled out for offside in the 53rd minute

One of the designated penalty takers for Gala, the Super Eagles star allowed Barış Alper Yılmaz to double the lead from the spot in the 67th minute, before former Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira added further gloss to the scoreline with seven minutes remaining.

After the football statisticians at WhoScored, Osimhen recorded eight attempts from inside the box against Fenerbahce, a record in a single Super Lig game this season.

The Super Eagles attacker also demonstrated his aerial ability, winning a game-high five aerial duels.

Of his eight attempts from inside the box, three were on target, while only Leroy Sané bettered his tally of three key passes.

For the 2025/26 season, Osimhen has 20 goals and seven assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
